<p>Mysuru: A <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/mysuru">Mysuru</a>-based Hindustani <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/musician">musician</a>, Shrimathi Devi, is being featured nationwide, from Mysuru Akashvani.</p>.<p>Devi’s vocal performance has been recorded at Mysuru Akashvani for Akashvani’s national music programme, as part of Ravivasariya Akhila Bharatiya Sangeet Sabha series.</p>.<p>Shrimathi Devi from Kergalli in Mysuru was accompanied by Sumit Nayak on tabla and Prasad Kamath on harmonium for the concert.</p>.<p>The programme will be broadcast nationwide from all Akashvani stations on April 5, Sunday, at 10 pm.</p>.<p>Shrimathi Devi of the Gwalior gharana, an A-grade artist of <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/all-india-radio">All India Radio</a>, is pursuing music studies under the guidance of Mumbai-based Apoorva Gokhale.</p>.Mysuru-based Hindustani musician featured in Ravivasariya series.<p>Earlier, she has been guided by the late Chandrashekhar Puranikmath, Narayan Pandit, Padma Talwalkar, Vyasamurthy Katti, and Ravikiran Manipal.</p>.<p>A recipient of CCRT Junior Research Fellowship, she was earlier awarded the CCRT scholarship by the Union Ministry of Culture. She was also a winner of the All India Radio National Music Competition in Hindustani vocal, to directly earn a graded artist status.</p>.<p>She has done a postgraduate degree in English Literature and also a postgraduate degree in Hindustani Music.</p>
