'Narayan's house will be a monument'

Directions have been issued to the Mysore Urban Development Authority to declare the house as a monument under the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act and immediately take up restoration work.

“It is a matter of pride that such a well-known writer was from Karnataka. Restoring the house will be a tribute to him,” he said at a meeting convened to review the functioning of Urban Development department.
