Officials told to inspect all chemical factories, says G Parameshwara

When asked about MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar's demand for an NCB unit in Mysuru, he said, "There is no need for another special team to handle the drug issue. We just need to make the existing team work a bit," he said.

Mysuru: In wake of Narcotics Control Bureau raid on an unit in Mysuru, Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara said that he has instructed officials to check all the chemical factories in the State and asked them to check if they have got necessary permits from the departments concerned.

He was speaking to media persons in Mysuru on Saturday.

When asked about MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar's demand for an NCB unit in Mysuru, he said, "There is no need for another special team to handle the drug issue. We just need to make the existing team work a bit."

Regarding NCB's statement on drug found in Mysuru unit, he said, "Mysore City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar said that the NCB had not found any drugs in the Hebbal unit.

In the report submitted to Court also NCB did not mention anything about the drug seized. But later we don't know why they mentioned in their press release about drug found," he said.
