<p>Deputy Commissioner G Satyavati on Wednesday instructed officials to take action to pay the arrears towards pension amount of beneficiaries of various schemes of the government pending since January.</p>.<p>Taking cognisance of the complaints in this regard during the public grievances redressal meeting held at her office, the deputy commissioner was apprised about the pending pension amount for specially-abled and Sandhya Suraksha beneficiaries.</p>.<p>Following a plea in this regard from Belagamma from Avathi and Basappa Shetty from Bettadamaradi, the deputy commissioner summoned treasury officer Mohan Das to the meeting hall and sought information in this regard.<br /><br />The delay attributed due to technical reasons will be addressed soon after discussing the same with higher officials, the deputy commissioner promised.</p>.<p>Following a requisition from villagers to permit them to raze dilapidated Parameshwara Temple at Thegur and build a new structure, the deputy commissioner refused to give consent to entrust construction works and advised them to perform rituals from outside.<br /><br />The district administration will oversee the works, while the PWD engineers will be asked to inspect the temple and submit a report. The technical report will be sent to Muzrai department for further action.</p>.<p>Dalit Sangharsh Samiti divisional convener Tarikere N Venkatesh wanted the deputy commissioner to create housing facilities for 15 nomad families who have been staying in a hut erected on a private land in Nariguddanahalli.<br /><br />The deputy commissioner directed revenue inspector Satyanarayana to inspect the spot and submit a report. The deputy commissioner also spoke to panchayat development officer of Malledevarahalli, directing the latter to look into the possibilities of bringing them under Ashraya housing scheme.</p>.<p>A report was sought from Kadur tahsildar over the complaints of lack of adequate faculty for PU students at Morarji Desai Model Residential School at Kamanakere in the taluk. Members of St Peter Church requested the deputy commissioner to instruct the tahsildar to take the premises into his possession and launch development works.</p>.<p>Relieve ADLR</p>.<p>Peeved over the nonchalant attitude of assistant director of land records Veerendra, the deputy commissioner directed the officials concerned to relieve the officer and ask him to work at Hosadurga.</p>.<p>Veerandra, who is ADLR at Kadur taluk, is holding the additional charge of Hosadurga. However, there are complaints about his absence at the headquarters, as he travels to and from Arsikere.<br /><br />There are also complaints about his lackadaisical working style that amounts to indiscipline. Such officials are not needed here and hence, relieve him from his duty at Kadur and restrict him to Hosadurga, the deputy commissioner said.</p>
