People hospitalised with intestinal pain

About 15 people were admitted to various private hospitals in Mulbagal town.
Dr Doddabhadregowda, a private practitioner said three people were admitted at the hospital he works at, on Friday morning.

“If more than five people are admitted having intestinal problems, we will bring it to the notice of the Taluk Health Officer,” he said.

Speaking about the matter, Taluk Health Officer Dr Shridhar government doctors and staff members would visit the said area.

“Appropriate steps would be taken after they gather information about the issue,” he said. He added that they have no accurate information as yet on how many people are suffering from intestinal disorder.

Pollution of drinking water due to the rain during last week is the reason behind the spread of the health problem, Dr Shridhar said.
