<p>Bengaluru: The Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (PHANA) <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/karnataka">Karnataka</a>, elected new office-bearers and executive committee members on Sunday. </p>.<p>Dr Shobha Prakash was elected the first woman president for the 2025-2027 term of the association at the annual general body meeting during the summit. </p>.Can't reserve 50% beds for Covid-19 patients, lack of doctors, nurses: PHANA.<p>The summit witnessed panel discussions on infection control practices, challenges in management of small hospitals and nursing homes, health insurance and medico legal issues among others. </p>.<p>Dr Shobha said she would fight for the betterment of women in healthcare sector. “My priority is for my ladies of Karnataka. I am there to support them. All they have to do is approach me and I am there for them. Majority of the healthcare providers are women. You go anywhere, nursing care is mostly done by women,” she said.</p>
