<p>Mysuru: Leader of Opposition R Ashoka tweeted the report published in <em>DH</em> on April 1, on delay in passing official government order, on Karnataka government's decision to drop the 5 acre land of T Narsipur KSIC raw silk reeling unit for the proposed stadium. </p><p>The report even highlighted delay in transfer of land records from the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES) to KSIC, even as KSIC awaits for it, to establish a 3 lakh litre per day Effluent Treatment Plant on 1.5 acre of land in order to fulfill the KSPCB norms. </p><p>Responding to the issue raised by Ashoka, Sericulture Minister K Venkatesh announced the State government's decision to drop KSIC land for the proposed stadium, during the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Session on March 9. </p>.<p>So in the tweet R Ashoka questioned about why Congress leaders from Varuna Constituency (represented by Chief Minister), Diwakar, KDP member, Varuna constituency, T Narsipur; and B Maraiah, ex-president of T Narsipur Taluk Panchayat lodged a complaint with the KSPCB on non-compliance of the norms by KSIC on March 10. </p><p>He even questioned how the KSPCB officials have issued a notice to the KSIC on not having ETP on March 24 itself, despite the fact that the government is yet to transfer the land to establish the ETP. </p><p>R Ashoka pointed that technical report of the General Manager of T Narsipur filature and Managing Director of KSIC to the government in December 2025 stated the inevitability of retaining the 5 acre land, to comply with KSPCB norms for saving the KSIC mother unit and Mysore Silk brand. </p><p>Yet, the government handed over land to the DYES. Now, they are again delaying handing over of the land to the KSIC. </p><p>R Ashoka tagged AICC leader Rahul Gandhi and questioned if this was 'Nyay'. He urged the State Government to protect the KSIC mother unit, the Mysore silk brand and the lives of employees depending on the KSIC. </p>
