<p> Adventure and excitement was in the air at the sixth ‘Escape to Nature’ jeep rally, which was organised by Pioneer Tennis Club here recently.<br /><br /></p>.<p>More than 80 teams from Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Chennai, Hyderabad participated in the rally.<br /><br />The rally covered various places in the Pushpagiri range, such as Santhalli, Kundalli, Bettadalli, Bere Betta, Heggade Mane, Mallai and other places over a distance of 42 kilometer. Due to drizzling the jeep drivers had to struggle to drive. Thick mist had engulfed the region and the participants had to drive with the headlights on.<br /><br />The audience cheered when the participants showed stunts on the tracks. Local talents, who participated in the competition, proved that they were no less than the professionals.<br /><br />The rally was flagged off by ex-minister B A Jeevijaya, who said that rallies and adventure activities boost the tourism potential. It shall give the outsiders an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Kodagu, he said.</p>
