Rare Kannadiga in Nudisiri

Alva’s Nudisiri has been attracting thousands of Kannadigas from across the State. However, this year, Jayanna, a middle aged man with a Kannada cap and a shawl, who hails from Marnami Doddi in Mandya, was an unique participant.

Moodbidri is not a new place for Jayanna. He attended Akhila Bharatha Kannada Saahitya Sammelana which was held at Moodbidri nearly a decade ago. Later he has been attending Alva’s Nudisiri every year. Speaking to Deccan Herald, he said that he loves Kannada language and culture though he hardly knows how to read and write Kannada. “I have attended Sarva Dharma Saahitya Sammelana in Dharmasthala several times, but I enjoy the celebrations here,” he added.
