<p>Maramma Kondotsava that highlights religious harmony was celebrated as per tradition at Talawadi in Tamil Nadu near Chamarajanagar on Thursday.</p>.<p>Though Talawadi is in Tamil Nadu, there are a large number of Kannadigas, living here. The kondotsava attracts a large number of devotees from Chamarajanagar district, Satyamangala, Erode, Coimbatore, Bengaluru and Chennai.</p>.<p>The fire walking ritual is held in front of a mosque. The priest takes part in the annual fire walking ritual as per the custom, followed since years. </p>.<p>The mosque is near Maramma temple and there is Venugopalaswamy temple, adjoining the mosque. The people belonging to Hindu and Muslim faiths live in harmony in the village. Not only Hindus, even Muslims take part in the Maramma jatra festival.</p>.<p>Devotees from Talawadi, Doddagajanuru, Talamalai, Kodipura, Chamarajanagar, Mysuru and other places visit the temple in large numbers.</p>
