<p>Bengaluru: As the vacations wind to a close, reports of the emergence of new strains of the Novel Coronavirus has prompted the Associated Managements of English-Medium Schools (KAMS) to circulate a notice calling on all affiliated institutions to take all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of infection on their respective campuses.</p>.<p>In the note circulated to the schools by KAMS general secretary D Shashi Kumar has asked them to follow a set of safety guidelines. These include instituting a health-based attendance policy, informing parents not to send children either exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19 or those taking any kind of medication to schools.</p>.Jharkhand reports first Covid-19 case of current wave.<p>Students who take ill in class must be isolated in a safe space, says the note. “Administer first-aid if necessary. Inform parents and advise them to seek medical attention quickly,” the note said.</p>.<p>The note, however, concluded on a note of optimism, pointing to the steps taken by the government to monitor the situation. “Children who are healthy and not exhibiting symptoms of the infection can safely attend school,” it said.</p>
