BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa on Thursday visited Siddaganga mutt pontiff Shivakumar Swami and said that it is up to the seer to decide on continuing his medication.
Speaking to reporters after visiting Swami, Yeddyurappa said, “It has been decided not to give him too much medication. He is able to see people who visit him and now it is for him to decide about the medication. The seer is still in the same health condition.”
He also said that “kiriswami” (junior seer) is in a state of sorrow and has requested people to co-operate in this time of distress.
The seer is in a critical condition ever since he returned from a Chennai hospital after undergoing liver bypass surgery and removal of the gall bladder.
On Wednesday, there was some fluctuation in his blood pressure which was taken care of by the doctors of the mutt. The pontiff is on the ventilator and does not talk much. He is able to see and obliges those who visit him.
Many political leaders who are close to the seer are expected to visit the seer to check on his health.
