Shobha Karandlaje hails Karnataka High Court ruling on Hebbal land

Bengaluru: BJP MP from Bengaluru North and Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje hailed the High Court's ruling on 'illegal' allotment of Hebbal land to a private party. "It is a huge win for people," she wrote on X. 

She was among the few leaders who favoured allotting land to Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd, when the state government planned on allotting it to Lakeview Tourism Corporation, a private entity. 

Noting that the court quashed transfer of 55 acres to "non-existent" private entity and ordered a CBI probe, she said it was "highly illogical" to allot land to a private entity when it was needed for Metro expansion.
