<p>Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah launched various development works, at a a total estimated cost of Rs 513 crore under K R Nagar Assembly constituency limits, in Mysuru district, on Friday.</p><p>It may be mentioned that the CM had launched development works worth Rs 140 crore in H D Kote taluk, on May 12.</p><p>Speaking on the occasion, Siddaramaiah reiterated that the government is financially strong. “The BJP and JD(S) allege that the government has gone bankrupt by implementing the guarantee schemes. If the government had gone pauper, was it possible to launch works worth Rs 513 crore? Every day around 50 to 60 lakh women are utilising the scheme”, he said.</p><p><strong>GST collection</strong></p><p>Karnataka is in the second place in GST collection in the country. We will try to top the list next year. We have allocated Rs 25 crore for Kabini bridge. The Chunchanakatte Sri Rama Sugar Factory has been given on lease for 40 years. Funds have been allocated for Sagarakatte bridge, road widening and other works, the CM said.</p><p><strong>Janakrosha Yatre</strong></p><p>The CM criticised the BJP for conducting Janakrosha Yatra. "They are not able to tolerate the success of the Congress government. We have spent Rs 52,000 crore for the five guarantees. But, they are spreading lies among the people on price hike," he said.</p><p>The Janakrosha Yatre is held only for political reasons, as there is no outrage among the people. They have shown affection towards our government, which has delivered as promised, the CM said.</p><p>The government has spent around Rs 90,000 crore, so far, for the five guarantees, Rs 60,000 crore for pension schemes, Rs 1.12 lakh crore for 7th Pay Commission, power subsidy and other pro-people programmes. Besides, Rs 2.06 lakh crore benefits have been given under various schemes, the CM said.</p><p>Earlier, our government fulfilled 158 assurances out of 165. Now, it has given 593 assurances and fulfilled 242. The remaining will be fulfilled soon. But the BJP looted money during its tenure. They sanctioned Rs 2,70,000 crore worth projects, without any money. During Basavaraj Bommai’s tenure, he sanctioned projects worth Rs 1,66,000 crore without funds. We are paying the dues, he said.</p><p>The farmers of Mysuru region should adopt scientific methods for cultivation. Good quality seeds, equipment and fertilisers are being provided, he added. </p><p>The Chief Minister said that K R Nagar MLA D Ravishankar is striving for the people and thus they should support him in the next elections also. The BJP is not talking about the price hiked by the Centre. Diesel, which was Rs 46 per litre, has now increased to Rs 91, he said.</p><p>District in-charge Minister H C Mahadevappa, Ministers K Venkatesh, Dinesh Gundu Rao, Boseraju, Byrathi Suresh, MLC D Thimmaiah, KR Nagar Town Municipal President Shivakumar were present.</p>
