<p>They were speaking at the inauguration of a programme on implementing the statutory emblem of the Government of Karnataka in nameboards, identity cards and office administration.<br /><br />Stating that there was a lot of confusion about the emblem’s use in the various government departments, Karnataka Law and Parliamentary Reforms (KILPAR) Director G Dakshinamoorthy said “Many departments and organisations have wrong emblems displayed at the offices and on their letter heads creating a lot of confusion.”<br /><br />Correct use<br /><br />He pointed out that the aforementioned programme is designed at helping the officials internalise the correct usage. <br /><br />National Integrated Medical Association (NIMA), New Delhi President C K Ballal said: “The emblem not only represents the State/government but also symbolises the local culture.”<br />In school curriculum<br /><br />He said the government should consider including a chapter on the emblem in the school syllabus in order to clear the confusion. Further, Kannada Nudi Editor Ramakrishna Gowda pointed out that there are problems even in the letters used in the emblem, which needs to be sorted out.</p>
