IIIT-B: Students showcase projects at NAIN conclave

Bengaluru: A drone system for disaster monitoring, a sensor-based mat for Kabaddi and an AI-enabled self-learning Braille device were among projects showcased by students at the New Age Innovation Network (NAIN) Innovation Conclave at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-B) on Thursday.

According to a release, the government’s NAIN programme has benefitted 2,300 students with more than 600 projects funded, over 400 prototypes developed, 60 startups incorporated and a growing number of patents and IP filings.

“A key emerging focus is on intellectual property creation and commercialisation, reflecting a shift from ideation to market-ready solutions,” the release said.
