Toll plaza catches fire due to vehicle fuel tank blast on Pune-Bengaluru national highway in Kognoli

Diesel tank of the truck blasted and caught fire along with batteries after they got bruised with road divider. Cabins of the toll plaza were gutted down.

Belagavi: Toll plaza on the Pune-Bengaluru national highway at Kognoli in Nippani taluk caught fire reportedly due to a blast of the diesel tank of a truck at the plaza late at night on Wednesday.

Diesel tank of the truck exploded and caught fire along with the batteries after they got bruised by the road divider. Cabins of the toll plaza were gutted.

Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot to bring the fire under control.

Nippani Rural police visited the spot.
