<p>Bengaluru, DHNS: At least nine people were injured when a loaded truck carrying iron rods rammed into a private bus in front of <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/india/karnataka/bengaluru/bengalurus-tunnel-plan-must-consider-geological-hydrological-risks-3401454">Esteem Mall at Hebbal,</a> North Bengaluru, in the early hours of Wednesday, police officials said. </p><p>The injured included eight passengers of the private bus belonging to Kallada Travels, who sustained minor injuries. The driver of the truck suffered major injuries, but is out of danger, noted Hebbal traffic police, who attended to the crash. </p><p>“The incident occurred when the bus, coming towards the city, stopped on the left side of the main carriageway for a passenger who was alighting. The truck driver crashed into the back of it, and the impact pushed the bus forward, partially onto the service road,” a police officer part of the investigation said. </p><p>While the bus was removed by 7.30 am, the loaded truck could not be budged, even by a 45-tonne crane. </p>.Aero India 2025: Take alternate route to reach Bengaluru airport, passengers told.<p>At 7.49 am, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) MN Anucheth posted on X: “The iron roads in the truck are being unloaded physically. Traffic will be restored in some time. 2 out of the 3 lanes are available for regular traffic. Some congestion is expected until the truck is removed (sic).” </p><p>Police divided themselves into two teams to physically remove the iron rods. The process was completed only by around 2 pm. Both the service road and the main carriageway towards the city experienced very slow-moving traffic all morning. </p>
