<p class="title">As the inflow to the Tungabhadra reservoir has increased, the dam has received over two tmc of water in a single day. </p>.<p class="bodytext">On Wednesday, the inflow recorded was 5.31 tmc. However, on Thursday, the water level recorded was 7.75 tmc; thereby adding 28,367 cusecs of water in a single day. The inflow on Wednesday was 6,878 cusecs. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The cause for the copious inflow is that Shimoga's Tunga dam is full and water is being released through the cross gates.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Also, ample rains in the Tungabhadra catchment areas had resulted in an increased the inflow into the Tungabhadra reservoir. </p>
