<p>Kalaburagi: The district police have arrested two persons in connection with cheating the public by issuing fake appointment orders for government posts.</p><p>Nagesh Lakshman Sunkan of Melakunda (B) village near here and Abhishek Subhash Matade of Savadatti in Belagavi district are the arrested.</p><p>Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, SP Addur Srinivasulu said that they cheated 11 people of Rs 14.55 lakh during the last six months.</p><p>Village administrative officer Anand Poojary had filed a complaint at the CEN police station regarding the fake appointment order for the assistant's post in the office of the deputy commissioner being circulated on social media. Two teams were formed to investigate the case, he said.</p><p>"Nagesh had used seven different bank accounts to promise nine people about various jobs ranging from attendant to tahsildar grade-2 and absconded after collecting Rs 8.55 lakh from them. Two mobile phones, 10 biodata files, fake appointment order copies of 43 different posts of the Revenue, the Income Tax, the Railway, the Excise, the Social Welfare, the Panchayat Raj, the Commercial Tax and the Health departments and Rs 25,000 cash have been seized from him. It is also found that he had contacted about 90-100 people and kept fake appointment order copies of various posts of various departments in his mobile phone", he explained.</p><p>Pointing out that Abhishek was preparing fake appointment order copies through WPS Office and stamp maker apps and used to receive Rs 5,000 from Nagesh for one fake order copy, he said that a total of 11 fake order copies, two mobile phones and Rs 22,000 were seized from him. A case has also been registered against the accused at the Sedam police station, he added</p><p>Two teams were formed under the leadership of CEN station DSP Basaveshwara, police inspector P S Vananjakar and women’s police station inspector Jagadish. The team consisted of police personnel Srishail, Siddappa Poojary, Mahanthayya, Udayakumar, Balaram, Ashok, Nagendra, Umesh, Siddu Patil, Nagesh and ASIs Narayan, Vittal and Mallikarjun.</p>
