<p>Mysuru: Upalokayukta K N Phaneendra, who is camping in Mysuru for three days for speedy disposal of cases pertaining Mysuru district, took up an enquiry of 86 cases related to Hunsur, Saragur, HD Kote and KR Nagar taluks of Mysuru district at the Zilla Panchayat main hall in Mysuru on Thursday.</p><p>He will take up 73 cases pertaining to T Narsipur, Periyapatna, Nanjangud and Saligrama taluks on Friday. He will address 62 cases pertaining to Mysuru taluk on Saturday. </p><p>Phaneendra said that cooperation of people is vital in building a corruption-free society. “As long as people bribe, there would be those who accept it. In order to lead a healthy life, the government must provide all necessary facilities to the people. Officials should serve efficiently to ensure this,” he said.</p><p>During an inquiry, he pointed out that people should either have legal awareness on whom to approach, to redress their grievances, or take advise from experts, so that their grievances are resolved early. He pointed out that corruption charges within a time frame of five years can be handled by the Lokayukta. He stressed on the retrospective effect of new regulations for ‘A’ Khata and ‘B’ Khatas for older complaints.</p>.CID finds no evidence in Karnataka minister Rajanna’s honey trap allegations.<p><strong>Delay in issuing necessary documents</strong></p><p>Most of the cases were related to the Revenue department officials for alleged delay in issuing necessary documents of properties and some were related to failure in securing government land. </p><p>C S Nagaraj of Chilkunda in Hunsur taluk alleged that there was no action by Hunsur tahsildar, even though he has complained about encroachment of government land.</p><p>He expressed his displeasure in a letter to the Lokayukta over the delay in action by the Lokayukta related to the case, although he had complained one-and-a-half years ago.</p><p>Phaneendra took up the issue seriously and directed SP N Vishnuvardhana to take necessary action against the concerned. </p><p>In a complaint, Srinivas of Yashodharapura village of Hunsur taluk, alleged that the residents of his village had set fire to his petty shop and a small house on government land. “The officials have not issue revenue documents although they had given them in favour of many persons who have put up unauthorized construction on the same government land,” he said.</p><p>The Upalokoyukta directed to clear all unauthorised properties on the said government land. Sunanda, wife of Sureshachari of Chellahalli of Hunsur taluk, alleged that there was a delay in giving proper measurement of her two acres of land for documentation in 2020-21 by the surveyor at the office of the ADLR, Hunsur taluk office, and thus, she was not able to sell the property to clear her loans.</p><p>C Nataraj from Hunsur alleged that Tahsildar, Food Section, Hunsur taluk, has given a temporary ration card and they have delayed to issue a permanent ration card and hence, he and his 86-year-old mother have not been able to get the benefits of the government.</p><p><strong>Compensation not given</strong></p><p>S R Prakash of Saligrama alleged that the Panchayat Development Officer of Saligrama Gram Panchayat has not given compensation or done e-swaththu documentation of his property, although the government acquired his property on survey no 1 for the State and National Highway, four years ago. </p><p>P Somanna, Kalisiddanahundi, Mysuru taluk, although he has been appealing from 2013, the officials have not given documents for the 0.15 gunta and 3.36 acres of land land he bought in Karikallu Kaval in 2008-09. </p><p>Lokayukta Mysuru SP T J Udesh, Member secretary of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) K K Amarnath, Mysuru DC G Lakshmikanth Reddy, ADC P Shivaraju, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, SP N Vishnuvardhana, and ZP CEO S Ukesh Kumar participated.</p>
