He will be convicted in the Covid scam not by Congress, but by the law of this land, Nagendra predicted.</p><p>“I will become DCM before Sriramulu does. I still have 20 more years in politics. I can even become the chief minister,” he exuded confidence.</p><p>Responding to the delay in reinducting him into state cabinet, he said the decision lies with the CM, DCM, and the high command.</p><p><strong>'No comments'</strong></p><p>When asked about the reunion of Janardhan Reddy and Sriramulu, he remarked that he won’t comment on that. They were the ones who fought and now they have reunited.</p><p>The MLA added that preparations are already underway within the Congress, constituency-wise, with the goal of returning to power in 2028.</p><p>Launching a scathing attack on BJP leaders, Nagendra said “no matter how much you (BJP) try to trample me or how many accusations you make, I will bounce back like a ball,”</p><p>The BJP leaders are trying to destabilise the state government. They can’t seem to digest anything unless they criticise us, he mocked.</p><p>“Even after losing two consecutive elections, Sriramulu hasn’t learned a lesson. He wants to dominate Ballari. During his tenure, there was unrest and no development in Ballari. That’s why he lost. Now he is making accusations against me. No matter how many times he tries to trample me, I will rise again,” he said.</p><p>On the Valmiki Corporation scam, he clarified that CBI has not issued him any notice. If they do, he will cooperate with the investigation. Rs 84.75 crore, which had been moved out of the corporation, has been brought back, he told</p><p><strong>Grand literary meet</strong></p><p>Regarding the Kannada literary meet, Nagendra said the district-in-charge minister has already held a preparatory meeting. “I have put in efforts to bring the meet here. We will host the event in an unprecedented manner,” he assured.</p><p>He clarified that there are no political reasons behind Zameer not attending the KDP meeting.</p><p>If a railway bridge is built at Sudha Cross, the traffic issues there will be resolved. The DMF action plan will be prepared this year, he stated</p><p>On Sriramulu’s statement that Ballari is plagued with drugs, gambling, and matka, Nagendra admitted and said the guilty should be punished, whoever they may be.
