<p>After years of torture at the hands of her step-mother and father, Pratyusha the teen rescued by the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights here on 8 July, has finally found a refuge in the home of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The Chief Minister along with his wife Shobha Rani and daughter K Kavitha, the Nizamabad MP, visited Pratyusha at the Global hospital at Saroornagar on Saturday afternoon. The teen who was subjected to torture including forced ingestion of toilet cleaner is undergoing treatment since the day of her rescue. “The physical wounds are slowly healing but the psychological trauma will take time,” said Global Hospital Director Dr Ravindra Nath to the chief minister.<br /><br />“Try to forget the past as a bad dream. You have a great future,” said a visibly shaken KCR to Pratyusha, assuring she could step into his official residence after getting discharged from the hospital and stay there as long as she wanted.The chief minister who is aware of the girl’s reluctance to stay in any one’s home and adoption said that the Telangana government will build a house for her and pay for her higher studies. “I will find a suitable boy for you and get you married,” KCR added.<br /><br />The chief minister assured police protection to the girl from her parents who have to forgo a part of the three-storied building to Pratyusha as she is almost 19 year old. “You can stay in hostel and visit my home in holidays. I am entrusting your security to Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy,” KCR said. <br /></p>
