Congress, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi to protest outside RSS headquarters in Nagpur

Mumbai: Mounting pressure on the BJP, Congress, Prakash Ambedkar’s Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, and several political outfits, organisations and activists will stage an unprecedented protest outside the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Nagpur following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name appearing in the files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

The protest occurs while the Parliament's budget session is ongoing in New Delhi and the Maharashtra legislature is under way in Mumbai.

The protest will be led by VBA founder-President Prakash Ambedkar, the grandson of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Constitution of India, and the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Harshwardhan Sapkal.

“The US Department of Justice has released the information on the Epstein file, which mentions Modi's name. Besides, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Puri has also been named many times in the Epstein file,” Sapkal said on the eve of the protest.

This march will be taken out from Samvidhan Chowk in Nagpur to the headquarters of the RSS.

“Modi has mortgaged India's sovereignty and self-respect. The Epstein file has exposed the behaviour, character and face of Modi and the BJP. The RSS is the mother organisation of the BJP and takes an active part in the election process for the BJP,” added Sapkal, a former MLA.

“The sovereignty of the country has been pledged to America. How can the RSS sustain such a person in the position of Prime Minister? If a Prime Minister is being blackmailed, the RSS should give a clear answer to the country regarding keeping him in office,” said Ambedkar, a former two-time Lok Sabha MP from Akola and one-term Rajya Sabha member.
