A leaked audio clip of the conversation had gone viral.</p>.<p>He reportedly threatened the official with Income Tax raids and questioned why power was not being disconnected in slum areas where, according to him, people were stealing electricity.</p>.<p>He was booked for using abusive language under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.</p>.<p>In another audio clip, dated November 2020, Lonikar allegedly berated a probationary IPS officer and officials at the Partur police station following a raid on a gutkha trader.</p>.<p>In December 2023, Lonikar allegedly abused NCP leader and former health minister Rajesh Tope. The verbal attack reportedly stemmed from disagreements related to the Central District Cooperative Bank elections.</p>.<p>Addressing an election rally in November 2024, the motormouth leader said the strength of the Maratha community could be "counted on fingers." The remark provoked a strong response from Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange, who accused Lonikar of belittling the community's social and political influence. </p>
