Salim Khan remains in ICU but is showing improvement: Aamir Khan shares update on his health

Legendary screenwriter Salim Khan is showing positive signs of recovery after being hospitalised for a brain haemorrhage earlier this month. The 90-year-old icon was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on February 17, where he successfully underwent surgery to address the condition.

Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan, who reportedly has been in touch with the Khan family, shared that Salim Khan is now stable and out of danger.

Speaking to the media at an event, Aamir said that he went to meet Salim Khan but could not see him directly as he is in the ICU. However, he spent time with the family, who shared that he is improving well.

"Alvira ji tells me every day that his health is improving. We are all praying that he returns home soon and that his health is fully restored, said Aamir.
Earlier, doctors had confirmed that he suffered a minimal brain haemorrhage and the procedure performed successfully stabilised his condition.

Hindi cinema veteran Salim Khan has been admitted to the hospital since February 17 after suffering a minor brain haemorrhage. Earlier, doctors had shared that his condition is stable and that he is being kept under close watch in the intensive care unit (ICU). Dr Jalil Parkar clarified that no surgery was performed.

"There was no surgery performed. It was a procedure we usually do. Yes, he had a brain haemorrhage, which was very minimal, and did not require any surgical intervention. There was no need for any surgery," he said, adding that the haemorrhage was "very minimal".

Several members of the film industry, including Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Javed Akhtar, Shilpa Shetty and Sangeeta Bijlani, have visited the hospital in recent days to meet Salim Khan and support his family.
