Six Nobel laureates to converge in Mumbai on May 21

Mumbai: Six Nobel laureates—Kailash Satyarthi (India), Leymah Roberta Gbowee (Liberia), Houcine Abassi (Tunisia), Prof. Mohan Munasinghe (Sri Lanka), Juan Manuel Santos Calderón (Timor-Laste) and Juan Manuel Santos Calderón (Columbia) will converge in Mumbai on May 21, 2026 for the prestigious Billionaires for Peace Conclave (BFP).

The Conclave, an initiative of the I Am Peacekeeper Movement (IAPM), will bring together an influential cross-section of global leadership including Nobel Peace Prize laureates, billionaire patrons, policymakers, and leading voices from business, philanthropy, and civil society.

With Nobel Laureates and global leaders coming together, Mumbai provides a powerful platform to drive meaningful conversations and real-world impact toward peace and sustainability,” said Dr Huzaifa Khorakiwala, Executive Director, Wockhardt, who is the Founder, I Am Peacekeeper Movement.

Building on the success of the Global Justice, Love & Peace Summit held last April at Expo City, Dubai, which brought 10 Nobel Peace Prize Laureates together on one platform, the Mumbai edition is envisioned as a highly curated gathering of approximately 280 distinguished participants.

The Conclave aims to foster meaningful dialogue and actionable collaboration toward global peace and sustainable development, a press statement said.

Among the prominent personalities expected to attend are Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT & KISS and Member of Parliament; Savji Dholakia, Founder and Chairman of Hari Krishna Group; Motilal Oswal, Chairman and Managing Director of Motilal Oswal Financial Services; Burjis Godrej, Managing Director of Astec LifeSciences and Vikram Shroff, Vice Chairman of UPL.

Dr Ramdas Athawale, Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment and Raksha Khadse, Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports will also be at the Conclave.

The Conclave will also feature Vikash Mittersain, Chairman & MD of Nazara Technologies; Dr Rahul V. Karad, Executive President of MIT World Peace University; and actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood. International business leadership will be represented by Dr. Siddeek Ahmed, Chairman of ERAM Group, Saudi Arabia and Margarita Louis-Dreyfus, Chairperson of Louis Dreyfus Group, Switzerland and others.
