<p>The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partners in Bihar gave up their stiff positions on Thursday and allowed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to allocate seats for the October 12 Assembly polls after Prime Minister Narendra Modi intervened to end the seat-sharing deadlock.<br /><br /></p>.<p>With this, the NDA seat-sharing arrangement announcement is likely to take place in two to three days.<br /><br />Modi had to nudge coalition partners who were demanding more share than offered by the BJP for contesting the 243 member Assembly polls. <br /><br />Interestingly, Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) chief and Union minister Upendra Kushwaha wrote a letter to BJP chief Amit Shah on Thursday saying that his party has left it to the BJP to take a final call on the seat-sharing formula, but hinted at not ruling out completely their contention which was backed by “ground realities”.<br /><br />Kushwaha said his “priority is development of Bihar” and that he does not want seat-sharing arrangement to come in the way of throwing out the present regime. Insisting that he has faith in the leadership of Modi and Shah, the RLSP leader also wrote that “ground realities would be factored into for judicious representation of four NDA partners” in ticket distribution.<br /><br />Modi had told Kushwaha during an official meeting on Tuesday evening that he should give up his resistance and take quota of seats offered by Shah so that the NDA unitedly fights to defeat the grand alliance of JDU-RJD-Congress.<br /><br />Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) founder Jitan Ram Manjhi too has left to the BJP to wrap up the talks, a day after the Election Commission announced a five phased elections beginning on October 12 and ending on November 8.<br /><br />"We will accept whatever decision Modi and Shah take. Wwhatever is in favour of Bihar and NDA, that route will be taken,” Manjhi told reporters after having second round of talks with Union minister and BJP’s election incharge Ananth Kumar at his Tughlaq Cresent residence in the evening.<br /><br />“I think between 2-3 days we will decide on the seat-sharing,” Kumar told reporters after meeting Manjhi.<br /><br />The BJP’s seat-sharing parleys had so far failed to yield result due to hard bargaining from RLSP, HAM and LJP since the BJP has decided to contest about 160 seats and leave remaining to the three smaller partners. <br /><br />RLSP chief and Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan, Upendra Kushwaha too met separately BJP top brass including Kumar and party state incharge Bhupendra Yadav.<br /><br /></p>
