In view of heavy rush in Tirumala owning to summer vacation, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has cancelled privileged darshan to aged, physically challenged and parents who accompany children below five years of age for the months of May and June.

Since last August, TTD has been providing 4000 darshan tokens to the physically challenged and aged pilgrims on any two lean days in a month. Similarly, parents with children below five years of age are also allowed on any two lean days in a month.

Meanwhile, new TTD chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav has asked all departments to render best possible services to pilgrims. The chairman inspected the main Kalyanakatta, Nandakam Mini Kalyana Katta, Narayanagiri queue lines and Kalyana Vedika in Tirumala on Tuesday.

He inspected the queue lines and personally supervised the distribution of Annaprasadam, water, buttermilk and milk to the pilgrims. He also inspected the toilets and other facilities.
