As per a <a href="https://www.news18.com/viral/spelling-errors-in-leave-application-land-rajasthan-sub-inspector-behind-bars-ws-d-9266920.html">report </a>by <em>News18</em>, the incident took place in <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/india/rajasthan">Rajasthan's </a>Jhunjhunu, where Monika, a sub inspector wrote an application that had spelling errors, following which she was apprehended by Special Operations Group (SOG).</p><p>The officer had allegedly secured remarkable scores in the exam, as well as was placed on 34th rank in 2021 Sub Inspector Recrutment Exam.</p><p>Her scores as mentioned in the report were noteworthy as she scored high in Hindi, 184 out of 200, and 161 out of 200 in General Knowledge. The exam was held on September 15, 2021, at a centre in Ajmer.</p><p>The officer allegedly sought help from Paurav Kaleer for cheating in the test and offered 15 lakhs for supplying her with answers, the report stated.</p><p>Later Monika confessed to paying Kaleer, following which he was arrested. During his arrest, Monika was undergoing training at Jaipur Police Academy, and she was on the run.</p><p>As per the report, from June 5 to July 2 last year, Monika was on a medical leave, however she did not provide any medical documents. In November, she submitted a letter in Hindi which proved her lack of 'basic literacy', as reported by the publication.</p><p>There were spelling mistakes in the application such as incorrect spelling of 'inspector'.
