Photos | PM Modi plays energising game of football with children in Sikkim

During his visit to Sikkim, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen playing a game of football with local children. He shared on social media a few photographs and described it as an "energising" soccer session.

The visuals captured him playing the sport with some boys and girls on Tuesday morning.

"Nothing like playing some football with my young friends in Sikkim on a lovely Gangtok morning," he said. Clearly, an energising football session with these youngsters!" the PM added in another post.

One of the pictures showed him posing with the team of players in the backdrop of the Lok Bhawan building.

PM's visit to Sikkim comes marking his participation in the state's 50 years of statehood celebrations. He launched development projects worth over Rs 4,000 crore in Sikkim. The projects reportedly span a wide range of sectors such as infrastructure, connectivity, healthcare, education, power, urban development, environment, tourism and agriculture.
