<p>Family and friends of Aarushi Talwar on Monday defended the Talwars saying that they are being punished over completely baseless allegations. It was also claimed that the case has been mismanaged by the Uttar Pradesh Police and the CBI at different stages.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The reactions came after a Special CBI Court in Ghaziabad held Aarushi’s parents Rajesh and Nupur Talwar guilty saying that they were freaks, who became the killer of their own progeny.<br /><br />Describing the verdict as disappointing, Fiza Jha, a close friend of Arushi, told Deccan Herald that Rajesh and Nupur were framed over false theory. “It has not been a fair trial and Monday’s verdict has gone from bad to worse for Aarushi’s parents,” the 18-year-old said.<br /><br />On having known Aarushi for over 10 years, she added that it will be tragic if Rajesh and Nupur do not get justice in the higher courts. “I am deeply disappointed. I know the public opinion about this, but has anyone thought what if they are innocent?” she asked.<br /><br />Fiza had visited Aarushi’s Jalvayu Vihar house in Noida after her death in 2008, and recalled the police’s careless attitude to the investigation. “The police were clueless and did not even carry out the basic search of the crime scene to gather evidence. They failed to search an obvious place like the terrace, where another body was lying,” she added.<br /><br />The teen further refused to accept that Aarushi and Hemraj were killed after being seen in an objectionable state. “Aarushi’s character has been questioned to justify the case, which is something completely unbelievable,” Fiza said.<br /><br />When asked about who could have killed Aarushi, Fiza blamed three others who were in the house on the fateful night – Krishna, an assistant at the Talwars' clinic, and domestic helps Rajkumar and Vijay. “They even confessed to the crime in narco analysis tests,” she said.<br /><br />Meanwhile, Aarushi’s aunt Vandana Talwar said they were not expecting such a verdict, but respect the judgement. “We are devastated and feel that nobody gave importance to evidence filed in the court by Rajesh and Nupur,” she said. It also seems that a decision was taken much in advance. <br /><br />“We could not get justice on Monday, now we will move to higher court in Allahabad,” Dinesh told Deccan Herald.<br /></p>
