<p>Hyderabad: Telangana had ordered a CID probe into the 'Kidney Racket' that was unearthed at a private hospital in Ranga Reddy district a few days ago. Until now, police has arrested eight persons, including the managing director of the hospital, in connection with the kidney racket.</p><p>Preliminary investigation revealed that the racket operators have been bringing the kidney donors and recipients from other states like Tamil Nadu and Karnataka to Hyderabad and getting the translation done at Alakananda Multispeciality Hospital. </p><p>They were charging around Rs 55 lakhs for each kidney transplantation and paying Rs 5 lakhs to the gullible donors.</p><p>The state government on Friday issued orders handing over the kidney racket case to the CID. Health minister Damodar Rajanarsimha issued orders transferring the case to the CID. Police shifted the four to the government-run Gandhi Hospital, whereas the doctors belonging to other states who were conducting these surgeries were absconding.</p><p>Only six months ago, the hospital received approval for minor surgeries but not for kidney transplants. CID will also probe the hospital's possible links with other such illegally run organ trade networks in other states.</p>
