<p class="title">Kamal Haasan's party Makkal Needhi Maiam has entered into an alliance with the Trinamool Congress (TMC).</p>.<p class="title">The decision was announced jointly by the actor-turned-politician and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday following a meeting they had.</p>.<p class="title">"We (Makkal Needhi Maiam) have entered into an alliance with the TMC. I have a very good relation with her (Banerjee) and came to invite her to our rally in Andaman on April 6," Kamal told reporters at the West Bengal secretariat.</p>.<p class="title">The Makkal Needhi Maiam has decided to support TMC candidate Ayan Mondal in the Andaman Lok Seat and Kamal himself will campaign for him.</p>.<p class="title">"We are glad to have formed an alliance with the TMC and are hopeful that the scope of this alliance will grow in the future," Kamal said.</p>.<p class="title">Mamata said the "alliance is a good opportunity for Tamil Nadu and Bengal to work together".</p>
