Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action against the candidates concerned including debarment from future examinations/selection," the UPSC said.<br /> <br />It also warned against bringing bags and costly items inside the exam venue. "Valuable/costly items and bags are also not allowed inside the examination venue," it said.<br /> <br />Several times candidates were seen using unscrupulous methods to cheat in examinations and it has turned hi-tech with the use of mobile phones and blue tooth.<br /> <br />Candidates are also advised to bring black ball point pen to the examination hall as they are required to fill the OMR answer sheets and attendance lists with such pens only.<br /> <br />The civil services preliminary examination 2017 is scheduled to be held on June 18.<br /><br />About 4.59 lakh had taken the last year's civil services prelims. Of these, 1,099 have been declared successful, the result of which was declared on May 31 in which Karnataka's K R Nandini stood first. </div>
