Trump, Netanyahu built a robot named Modi: Congress cites ‘Epstein Files’ to reiterate 'puppet' PM charge

New Delhi: As Narendra Modi started his two-day visit to Israel, Congress on Wednesday attacked the Prime Minister by citing ‘Epstein Files’ to allege that he is a “puppet” of the United States and Israel. It also asked him whether he will mention “genocide” in Gaza during his address to the Knesset.

Party's Media and Publicity Department Chairman Pawan Khera claimed that emails of 2017 in 'Epstein Files' showed that the Israel policy under Modi was made by Jeffrey Epstein, former Israeli Prime Minister Edud Barak, Anil Ambani and Hardeep Puri and not by the Ministry of External Affairs.

General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed hope that Modi would mention the "genocide of thousands of innocent men, women and children in Gaza while addressing the Knesset on his upcoming trip to Israel and demands justice for them."

"India has stood for what is right throughout our history as an independent nation, we must continue to show the light of truth, peace and justice to the world," she said .

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia hit back at her saying, "the 'Female Ghajini' of Indian politics is back...Carrying a 'Palestine' bag to Parliament is easy, but having the moral courage to condemn the Oct 7th massacre of 1,200-plus innocents, women being abducted and raped is clearly too hard for Priyanka Gandhi."

Khera said it is necessary to understand the atmosphere in which Modi has gone to Israel because the US can attack India’s “old ally” Iran at any time.

“Earlier, out of fear of threats, they have already stopped buying oil from Iran and Russia. Now in such an atmosphere, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is moving forward like Israel,” he said.

"India's foreign policy regarding Israel and Palestine has always been based on the 'two-nation' principle. But an America-Israel lobby has changed the state and direction of our decades-old foreign policy," he said.

Referring to email exchanges between Epstein, Puri, Barak and Ambani, Khera alleged, "recently, I heard Modi saying built a robot in my childhood, for which I even received a medal. The same thing is said by Trump, Netanyahu, and Epstein that we have built a robot named Narendra Modi...A compromised robot is the PM of this country. The puppet PM who is afraid of US and Israel is now visiting Israel now."

Citing emails, Khera said that it was Epstein who introduced Ambani to Barak. He also claimed that Ambani had enquired from Epstein about the possibility of Indian leadership's meetings with top Trump aides as also sought advice on India's defence matters with the White House

He also said Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' visit to India in May 2017 did not go down well with the US, Epstein, Netanyahu and Barak, who expressed their displeasure to Puri.

"Between 2020-2024, India's defense exports from Israel increased by about 34%. India emerged as the largest customer in Israel's defense market. This is the result of those emails and meetings that Hardeep Puri used to have with Ehud Barak at Epstein's house. It was for our government to decide where the money of India's taxpayers would be spent, but Epstein was deciding it," he alleged.
