<p> The temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has invested 1,311kg pure gold bars of 0.995 fineness in Punjab National Bank (PNB) on Monday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>In a formal programme held in the chambers of TTD, Executive Officer D Sambasiva Rao said the gold deposits are being made to PNB.<br /><br />The EO said that TTD has written a letter to RBI <br />and government of India to amend the gold monetisation scheme. <br />“If we get the green signal from them, then we will be able to deposit the existing deposits as well new one also under medium and long-term schemes,” he added. Later the MD and CEO of PNB Usha Anantha Subramaniyam also expressed her immense pleasure in associating with TTD, terming it a “divine association”.<br /><br />The PNB has come forward with a highest quotation of rate of interest with 1.75% per annum under the short-term deposit scheme for a period of three years under gold monetisation scheme.</p>
