<p>Thiruvananthapuram: A group of 28 Malayaliswm who were stranded at Dharali in Uttarakhand following the cloudburst, have been reported to be safe.</p><p>Though there were reports that the group was missing, later they could be contacted. All of them were relatives. They started their trip from Delhi on August 2. They initially visited Haridwar and went to Gangotri on Tuesday morning. </p><p>Ambili, a relative of the tour members from Kochi, Narayana and Sreedevi, told the media that as soon as the news regarding the cloud burst came they tried to be in touch with them. But they could not be reached. </p><p>The panicked relatives got in touch with defence and disaster management officials. By Wednesday afternoon the family got a message that all the 28 were safe near Gangotri. One of the members of the group had also sent a voice message to relatives.</p><p>The group were learnt to be in a camp of the ITBP. Since most of the roads were destroyed in the cloudburst, the option of airlifting them was being considered.</p><p>Earlier during the day Kerala opposition leader V D Satheesan urged the Uttarakhand government to take steps to rescue the group.</p>
