<p>Even as the Tirumala Hills are being spruced up for Salakatla Brahmotsavams, vigilance officials nabbed two men trying to sell L1 category “VIP Break Darshan” tickets on Sunday.<br /><br />L1 tickets were being sold in black with the help of letters from a local TDP MLA and a police head constable on duty at Tirumala. TTD vigilance officers took two youths, Avinash and Niranjan, into custody for selling L1 tickets at a price of Rs 10,000 each near the allotment counter.<br /><br /> Police found recommendation letters apparently given to them by Tirupati Legislator Suguna of the ruling TDP. A head constable, Suryachandra Rao, was also arrested.<br /><br />“VIP Break Darshan” can be availed by submitting recommendation letters from ministers, legislators, officers and presidents of political parties at the JEO office. <br /><br />Based on the stature, the JEO releases a list in three categories. While L1 listers get to attend the early morning seva, the other two categories are like the Rs 300 special darshan.<br /><br />VIP Break Drashan ticket is priced at Rs 500, which includes two laddus each.<br />Meanwhile, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to press two drone-mounted cameras along with the regular CC cameras as part of the security arrangements for Brahmotsavams, said executive officer D Sambasiva Rao at a press conference in Tirumala.<br /><br /> He added that the TTD has sought the opinion of Agama experts who gave a green signal to the drone-vigilance system. The drones enter the open skies directly above the Sanctum Sanctorum, over which even commercial airlines were not allowed to fly.<br /><br />The TTD has already cancelled all Arjitha Sevas from September 16 to 22 so that more general category devotees can have darshan. <br /><br />The TTD is also planning to introduce a three-line system in the sanctum sanctorum to accommodate more pilgrims and also to give them a pleasant darshan. <br /> </p>
