CPI(ML) condemns misuse of General Secy Dipankar Bhattacharya's photo for TMC leader with same name

New Delhi: CPI(ML) on Friday condemned a section of media for misusing the photo of CPI(ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya presenting him as a Trinamool Congress leader with the same name in West Bengal from whose house allegedly unaccounted cash has been recovered.

"We strongly condemn this mischievous campaign of misinformation and deliberate defamation," the party said in a statement and asked the media to correct this mistake and issue an apology to their readers.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and Baduria Municipality Chairman Dipankar Bhattacharya was arrested by West Bengal Police following the seizure of approximately Rs 80 lakh in cash and hundreds of allegedly stolen government relief tarpaulins from his premises.
