<p>A woman was arrested on charges of molesting an autorickshaw driver while trying to force him to have sex with her in Arjun Nagar, South Delhi. Her Tanzanian friend, who filmed the act, was on the run.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The driver later managed to escape from the first-floor flat in the five-storey building but broke both his legs, police said on Thursday.<br /><br />Renu Lalwani, 34, was arrested and sent to judicial custody while her Tanzanian friend was on the run after the driver escaped and informed police about the nightmare that unfolded in the early hours of Wednesday, said an official at the Safdarjung Enclave police station.<br /><br />The autorickshaw driver, a resident of Mandawali in east Delhi, allegedly remained locked in the flat for over two hours before jumping out of a window. Another auto driver helped him reach hospital and informed the police around 4 am, said police.<br /><br />Angry neighbours in the congested colony said autorickshaw drivers used to frequent Lalwani’s flat and one driver lived with her for a few weeks in the rented home in F block. <br />The police said Lalwani hired the victim’s autorickshaw past midnight on Tuesday from IGNOU road in Saket and came to Arjun Nagar, about seven kilometres away.<br /><br />She invited the driver to her flat on the pretext of paying him the fare and the Rs 300 that she had borrowed from him on the way to pick up some articles, police said. <br />After offering him water to drink, Lalwani suddenly locked the doors from inside and sought sexual favours which he refused, said an investigator.<br /><br />The woman later offered him liquor which he refused to consume. Frustrated, she forced herself on him, tore his clothes and kissed him while her Tanzanian roommate, who was already in the house, filmed the whole episode, police said.<br /><br />A neighbour, who did not wish to be named, said Lalwani had moved in an year ago and her Tanzanian roommate had been sharing the house for the past five months. <br />“The Tanzanian woman was pregnant after she married an Indian recently,” the neighbour said.<br /><br />Another woman in the area said an autorickshaw driver had helped Lalwani rent the house. “He lived with her for a few weeks,” she said. The driver is still dazed and worried about money as he would not be able to work for a few weeks.<br /><br /> “I could make out they were trying to shoot a blue film of mine. I decided to jump off the first-floor balcony as I sensed there was threat to my life,” he said.</p>
