<p>A woman sub-inspector, Anamika Yadav, has been appointed investigating officer into the high profile sexual exploitation case involving IPS officer Pushkar Anand and his junior Nirmala Kumari, who was posted as DSP, Kaimur, when Anand was Kaimur SP.<br /><br /></p>.<p>This investigation will be apart from the probe being conducted by the three-member probe committee set up by the state government to unravel the truth. <br /><br />The team is headed by Anupama Nilekar Chandra (IG, Headquarters), while Rajesh Kumar and Harpreet Kaur, both IPS officers, are the other two members.<br /><br />The DSP-rank officer Nirmala had stunned the entire police brass on New Year’s Eve when she filed a complaint against Anand alleging he sexually exploited her on the pretext of marrying her.<br /><br />In the FIR (No. 47/14), she alleged that two days after joining as Kaimur SP in July 2014, Anand proposed her through Facebook and WhatsApp. Serving as sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) in Kaimur, Nirmala said in the following months when their marriage looked certain, they established intimate relationship and stayed at each other’s place.<br /><br />She further complained that when her parents requested the SP to fix the marriage date, Anand refused on the grounds that their horoscope did not match.<br /><br />Charging the SP with sexually exploiting her for months, Nirmala asked the Kaimur station house officer to take action against the SP, his father Umakant Mehta and mother after booking them under Sections 376 (2) (b), 120 (B), 354 (A) and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).<br /><br />Soon after the FIR was lodged, the state government transferred the accused <br />and the complainant. While Anand was shunted to Ara, Nirmala was transferred to <br />far off Saharsa district.<br /><br />Meanwhile, a three-member medical board headed by deputy superintendent Prahlad Singh conducted a medical examination of the SDPO. During the medical test of Nirmala, gynaecologist Kiran Singh and dental surgeon K K Singh were also present. <br /><br />The medical team conducted denture, radiological and ultra-sonography examination besides age estimation and pregnancy deter- mination.</p>
