One rocket hits near US embassy in Baghdad: Security sources

One rocket hit near the US embassy in Baghdad early Tuesday morning, security sources told AFP, the first to land in the high-security zone in weeks.

It follows more than two dozen similar attacks against US interests in Iraq since October and comes less than two weeks into the tenure of the new government, which has been widely expected to thaw relations with Washington.
