Last Updated 17 April 2019, 07:44 IST

Voting drew to a close after Indonesia held one of the world's biggest one-day elections on Wednesday, pitting current president Joko Widodo against ex-general Prabowo Subianto in a race to lead the Muslim-majority nation.

More than 190 million Indonesians were eligible to cast a ballot from easternmost Papua to Sumatra at the other end of the volcano-dotted country, although some polling stations remained open due to delays and long queues.
