Kadaba, Moodbidri taluks to be inaugurated on I-Day

The newly formed taluks Kadaba and Moodbidri in Dakshina Kannada will be officially inaugurated on August 15.

Speaking during a preparatory meet at the DC’s office, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kumar said that the Kadaba taluk will be inaugurated on August 15 at 10.30 am and Moodbidri at 4 pm on the same day.

The Addl DC meanwhile directed the district-level officials to work towards the establishment of offices of all government departments in the newly formed taluks, as per directions laid by the government.

Suitable office spaces should be identified towards the same by obtaining buildings on rent. At the same time, lands should be earmarked for new buildings. Appointment of staff should be done. Officers will be handed over the charge of the departments till permanent appointment is done.

Kumar further said that necessary measures have been taken for the establishment of mini Vidhan Soudha in Kadaba and Moodbidri taluks. The building will comprise of taluk office, survey department, sub-registrar office and treasury.

Kadaba taluk is carved out of Puttur and Sullia taluks and the new taluk comprises of nine villages from Puttur taluk and seven villages of Sullia. The Moodbidri taluk comprises of all villages in Moodbidri hobli.
