Kodagu slips to 18th position; Tanusha is topper in Chikkamagaluru

Kodagu district has slipped to 18th position in the SSLC exam.

Kodagu registered 77.09% in last year exam and was in the ninth position. This year, the pass percentage has increased to 80.68.

A total of 7,166 students from 127 schools had written the exam.

DDPI H G Bhagya said, “Teachers have worked hard to improve the pass percentage. We were expecting good ranking this year. The students from rural areas had found science a bit tough. Hence, there was a slip in the position of SSLC result ranking.”

Chikkamagaluru

St Mary’s International School, Chikkamagaluru has secured 100% results in SSLC exam.

Tanusha R has scored 621 marks and is a topper in the Chikkamagaluru district. She has scored full marks in Kannada, English, Hindi, Mathematics, and Social science. Other top scorers in the school are Prakruthi R (618), Hemasri (614), Sonika B M (609) and Preetham S R (601).

As many as 47 students have secured good grade in the exam, while 49 students have passed with first class.

Tanusha R is the daughter of Rajashekar Naidu and Savitha couple.
