A Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate contesting the Kollegal Town Municipal Council (TMC) elections, suffered a heart attack while riding his motorbike and died on Sunday morning.
Ramesh, a candidate in Ward 9 of Kollegal TMC, was on his way to Mysuru from Kollegal. He died near Theramballi in Kollegal taluk.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister N Mahesh visited the spot.
