Aero India 2019 LIVE | Major fire in parking lot

Day 4 of Aero India was to be observed as Women’s Day to celebrate all the women who have made it to the skies, literally, but the program was derailed on Saturday as a major fire broke out in the parking lot. Aero India was temporarily suspended as more than 300 vehicles caught fire and thick smoke engulfed the area. The Drone Olympics and Bipin Rawat's LCA Tejas ride were major attractions on previous days. The crowds were also treated to a spectacular aerobatic display by the Yakolevs.Aero India 2019 began in Bengaluru on Wednesday, with many big names in the aerospace and defence industry gearing up to show off their creations. In her opening address, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said India offers a big market for defence manufacturing and invited investors to capitalise on aerospace and other sectors which can help manufacturing in India. American defence giant Lockheed Martin announced the F-21, a combat aircraft specifically configured for the IAF in collaboration with Tata Advanced Systems. Elaborate security arrangement for Aero India 2019

Elaborate security arrangements are in place for the upcoming Aero India Show 2019 scheduled to kick-start at the Yelahanka Air Force Station from Wednesday.

Around 4,000 police personnel including traffic policemen have been deployed from the city police commissionerate, besides security personnel from the Air Force, Military Police and Central Industrial Security Force.
