Karnataka is likely to file an appeal before the National Green Tribunal (NGT) seeking a review of the tribunal’s recent ruling, asking the government to deposit Rs 500 crore to rejuvenate the polluted Bellandur lake.

The government will also seek revision of the NGT’s landmark May 2016 ruling, barring construction activity within 75 m from the periphery of the water bodies. Read more

Ten days to repair MG road faulty pillar: BMRCL

A structural fault in one of the pillars of Namma Metro near the Trinity Station on MG Road had gripped the IT city in a panic on Thursday. Chalking out an elaborate plan to repair the fault, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on Thursday clarified that it would need at least 10 days time to fix the fault. Read more
