Sri Lanka blasts | Blasts were revenge for Christchurch, says ISIS

A blast hit near a church in Sri Lanka's capital on Monday as police tried to defuse a new bomb found by the site. There was no immediate information on injuries in the blast, or how large it was. The explosion happened around 50 metres from the St Anthony's Shrine, one of three churches targeted in a string of suicide bombs on Sunday. Sri Lanka said Monday it believed a local Islamist extremist group was behind deadly suicide bomb blasts that killed nearly 300 people as it announced a national state of emergency beginning midnight. On Tuesday, the terrorist group ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack as Lankan authorities said that the attack was a response to the Christchurch massacre.
